Maryland and the neighboring states do not have a
wide range of SCUBA dive sites, however there are some local
quarries and lakes that are suitable for day trips listed below
(although Dutch and Rawlings are better as overnight trips), and a few
interesting ocean wreck dives off Ocean City, Virginia Beach, New
Jersey and down in North Carolina. Links to the various local
quarries are listed below, along with driving directions, and
underwater maps we've put together over the years. The underwater
maps gets updated as we find new items so check back occasionally and
you might find something new there, if you know/find anything not on
the maps shoot an
email with the details!
Driving directions have
the starting location at our local
dive shop Columbia Scuba
(green star on the map) and a Point Of Interest (ZIP) file that can be loaded
for some of these locations for Garmin GPS
navigators, courtesy of Kevin Flamm.
